I see that link is now down - perhaps they have restored the original schedule? I think they were trying to cram everything into 2 days because the forecast for Saturday was not good. Maybe that's changed now.

Races will be on the same planned time, original program is back, no change.

Tomorrow my race will be at 11am by Budapest time.

Today my friend(53 years old, Turkish ex national marathon swimmer) and i did a full lap training in the lake, the baloons are easy to see, but the water of the lake is heavy and rough due to wind. We swam the full race lap on 46 minutes and 10 seconds with moderate pace. Tomorrow i m expecting 43-44 minutes time, the weather will be very windy about 27km/hour.

Good luck for tomorrow, Emrah!

A lady from my neighbouring town won a bronze medal today in one of the older categories - hope that's a good omen! :-)

The weather waswindy and the water was rough, the times became 5-10% worse than we expected, but i did my best and satisfied with the result. Became 28th in 40-44 age group and the 1st over Turkish swimmers. Finished the race with 45:27.

Well done NC! Just about in the top third, in what looks like a very competitive field. Now I guess you get to relax in the famous thermal baths at Gellert or Szechenyi. ;-)

Very competitive field indeed: the winner - Samuele Pampana - last year broke the 1500m world record (category M40) with a stunning 15:51! The previous record was 16:07. His 15:51 also beated the M35 world record and was the second best time on M30.

Conratulations Nightcrawler.!  cheers
And you are still looking quite fresh at the finish.
Are you falling in a black hole now after this big adventure, or is it just back to training?

I dont know. For the swimming in milk championships it looks quite good. Better than the guy with the blue cap at least.
