Beautiful stroke indeed and well packed video. I like the way she keeps her head super still. In some frames she swims at around 66SPM which imho is a touch low for that kind of stroke.
Glad to hear that Charles is fine and still on topic. Too bad he suddenly disappeared from the forums: simply the best, hands down!

I am so curious what here conclusion is about whats the best stroke for what purpose.
She has mastered standard competitive style, TI and open water half waterpolo to near perfection and also has coaching experience, so she has all the knowledge to say something with worth about it.
I love that style of kicking she does there. Looks so streamlined and aquatic. In dryland swimming on a mattrass you get this light hips if you press the chest down.

some basic slow swimming

In the TI swimming I always disliked her kickconnection to the stroke. The kick just didnt get traction enough at that slow rate and looks very jerky compared to the rest of the stroke.
Maybe she isnt so buoyant at the rear and has to kick more than expected for a woman.

That's a very nice open water stroke - reminiscent of Shelley Taylor-Smith and Mel Benson on the Catch Masterclass DVD. I always think female swinger strokes look different to male ones though - something to do with natural body balance, I think. They call Alistair Brownlee a swinger, but I think his stroke looks quite different from this.

Slide some buoyant wetsuit leg pieces on your legs and try to imitate it Mike!
I agree that basic balance has a big impact on your natural preferred stroke and kicking style. (with natural flexibility)

I was looking for Charles' article yesterday, but couldn't find it. Seems it's on page 39, not page 30. I can feel some Google translate coming on. ;-)

Anna Karin Lundin was an ex TI coach. I knew her history very well while i was dealing with TI between the years 2008-2015. Let me tell Anna's story to you all
TI's Ceo Terry Laughlin forces her to drop her 25m SPL from 19 to 16 then to 14 and to 12 respectively. First she refuses then admits because CEO orders Then she tries and sees that her pace is getting worse day by day. Feedbacks to Terry, Terry says not to worry this is efficiency and it is the most important thing and when she becomes efficiency her pace will soon get better.
Here is her TI video, very different from her real and natural technique: https://youtu.be/aMF24_H_6vQ
She continues her workouts in TI manner and gets slower day by day reaches 42 strokes per minute(42 SPM) and even couldnt get any meddals on masters races. Asks Terry, he says this is efficiency and being efficient and injury free swimming is more valuable then being fast. As a result she says "hey Terry what the hell are you talking about" then quits. Transfers to Swim Smooth, at least they dont want to lessen her SPL and speed, seems more pleasant there.
For your infomation

Re: Anna Karin Lundin - SwimSmooth blog
I think Terry wanted her to increae her strokerate to 80SPM while holding 12 strokes/25m.
The poor girl wasnt strong enough to do that i am afraid.
But TI probably said she wasnt balanced and streamlined enough.
Sorry Ti reader, had to finish this one off

She might done yoga for a while in order to erase the TI from her mind(oh sorry TI guys name this as cerebral) or might went to pshchologist to get a hypnosis session to forget all. In order to persuade clients(they are calling like this, seeing as customers not as students) they are always behaving calm and positive, has very artistic and meta phrases to attract people like a religious missioner, after all even i can believe and say thay yeah TI is fantastic if i keep listening them.
