Swim Friendly Watches

Hi, my 11 year old daughter is learning to swim; and she has progressed by a few levels now. We understand that she takes swimming seriously.
was thinking of getting her a watch that she can wear when swimming, for her birthday. What are some of the watches we can get her? not something very expensive - what should we search for when looking for one in Amazon for example? " Water proof"/ " swim friendly"?
