Who hasn,t tried the diving board and been like this?

Think I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've tried a diving board - even one only 3m above the water!  That's the reason I "chickened-out" of doing my RLSS Silver badge - the swim requirements were easy, but oh the horror of going up higher and then having to "throw oneself" at the surface (made worse in my case since I couldn't see more than a few inches clearly) - and the deep end was only 6' deep.  My instructor told me to push against the bottom with my hands (if/when I reached it! ) to help get up to the surface.

  I even get the "heeby-jeebies" having to go up a high ladder to do a repair etc! 

 But it's a grand video "cottmiler" - good for a great laugh - well "sort of" - apart from re-visiting old memories!  A pool-side plunge is no comparison!
